more less About Squeakmachine.com

I came up with the idea for Squeakmachine.com several years ago when I was still developing my own sense of style and fashion identity. Being very young and trying to learn about the fads and trends of the subculture fashion scene can be nothing short of impossible. We don't have the same resources as everyone else. You just can't pick up a magazine and read an article on attaching dread falls. Nor will you see a TV special on all the hot, upcoming styles in alternative fashion. The only way to learn about alternative style was by carefully observing people at a club event, asking a friend, or consulting a message board online.

I decided it was time for change. The alternative fashion genre has been overlooked by mainstream culture for far too long. Many dismiss it as being counterculture or anti-fashion; they assume that there is no rhyme or reason to our style. The truth is we have trends, preferred brands, and stupid fads just like any other cultural group. It is about time we put it out there; be it for a novice eccentric teen who wants to learn how to stand out in the scene or the casual onlooker who is just curious as to what this "goth" stuff is all about. There needs to be one large resource for people to go to get that kind of information.

Years later, the site has finally come to fruition and I am now pleased to offer you that resource. Squeakmachine.com offers the largest collection of alternative culture fashion and information available on the net...and well, anywhere! Some of the most fashion forward, talented people in the scene have contributed to making this site the success that it is. And it is only going to get bigger and better! The more people contribute, the more we will be able to learn from each other, and the more fabulous we'll all look!

more less About Squeak

Most well-respected women have great ambition for the future; they want to set themselves apart, they want to make a difference in the world, they want to be successful, have lots of money, and so on.

Not me. I just love being a girl.

I just simply adore everything about being a girl. I love fashion and make-up and spending ridiculous amounts of money on my hair. I love getting manicures twice a month. I love wearing shoes that look fabulous but are secretly killing me.

I certainly never intended to become a sub-cultural fashion role-model in the process! But if someone has got to step forward and fight for all of us craft loving, shoe shopping, eccentric girly girls out there...well, it might as well be me.

The role suits me anyway. I am a bona fide workaholic and a site this big requires time and effort that most people just aren't willing to put forth. But I don't mind giving up TV time, parties, and club nights to work. I dare say, I might even prefer tedious site work to those things; as the rewards for doing work are always so much greater.

But I digress. My point is...you want to know more about me? You'll never figure me out...I can't even figure me out! I am conservative yet unconventional. I am bold yet modest. I am sociable yet introverted. I am immensely multi-faceted and complex.

However, if I had to sum up what I am or who I am; then I suppose I might quote my closest friend, Michael, who is so fond of doing impressions of me:

"I'm a girl...hee hee hee!"

I have been working as a professional model since I was a kid. For many years I worked only under agencies, but after graduating from school, I decided to leave the agencies and work as a freelance model.

I am very open-minded and very easy to work with. If you seek a particular kind of "look" or aesthetic appeal, I am willing to work hard to help you achieve that. I am a huge fan of props and costumes, so if you give me adequate time, I can pull together some fun and interesting things to use in the shoot.

I live in Pennsylvania, about forty five minutes away from Philadelphia. I frequently travel to Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and New York for various shoots and projects.

Other areas of the US:

If you are interested in shooting with me or collaborating on a project, but do not live close by, please contact me by e-mail (squeak at squeakmachine dot com). In your message, please be sure to give me your location and also a pay estimate. From there we can proceed in a number of ways:

Get listed:

I keep a detailed list of my contacts from out of state. Once I have enough offers from a particular area, I will book all the shoots and make the trip. Let me know if you would like to be put on this contact list.

Solo booking:

If you have a rather large project or require more than one day of shooting, you may want to consider doing a solo booking. You must be able to pay my way and provide lodging. Don't worry, I don't mind flying coach and a sofa or spare bedroom is fine with me!

Multiple booking:

If you have friends or colleagues in the industry that may be interested in shooting with me and are willing to split the cost of my travel and rates, contact me about it and we'll book dates that will work for everyone.

International shoots:

I have a passport and I'm not afraid to use it! If you are outside the United States and are interested in shooting or hiring me for a job, please e-mail me so I can put you on my contact list. Currently, I am planning to travel to London and Tokyo within the year. Please contact me for dates and bookings.

Other Jobs

I am an experienced pole dancer and performer with over six years of experience doing feature shows at various clubs in Philadelphia and New York. I am available for hire for all kids of feature events including: conventions, club dÈbut and grand opening parties, concerts and shows, parties and regular club events. Please check out my videos section to see some examples of my dance routines and contact me if you would like to hire me for an event. My rates vary anywhere from $30-150 per hour depending on the job. I can provide my own pole if need be. Sorry, I do not do private parties!

Even off the pole, I am still quite the experienced dancer. I've been hired to dance on stage at all sorts of club events, concerts, and parties. My rates are relatively low for these types of jobs: $10-30 per hour. Please contact me for more info!

Event Hostess:

I am available for hire as a hostess for all kinds of events, conventions, and parties. I have a lot of experience in public speaking and event hosting. If you are looking for someone to give out awards, speak at an event, or host a partyÖ contact me and let me know what you have in mind.

Fashion Event/ Pageant Judge:

I have had a few people ask me about my availability to judge at goth pageants and subculture beauty shows. I absolutely love having my fashion knowledge put to good use and I do most of these events for no charge. (although, a few free drinks might be nice!) Please contact me if you are thinking of putting together such an event. I would be happy to help out if I can.

Fashion Coordinator:

If you need a subculture fashion coordinator for a photo shoot, movie shoot, event, or special occasion, contact me and let me know in detail what you are planning. I can help you with the wardrobe, hair styles, and make-up of your models, guests, or actors. I have already coordinated looks and wardrobe for movie directors, magazine publishers, and photographers. Voice and instruments:

I have been vocally trained in Opera, Broadway, and all sorts of modern singing techniques. I can play guitar, keyboard, and program/engineering for midi and synth equipment. I can provide all of my own equipment if necessary.

Rates

Modeling:

Portfolio/Studio work - $50-75 per hour

Fashion/Print work - $75 per hour

Commercial work - $75-150 per hour

Lingerie/Swimsuit - $75-100 per hour

Pin-up/Implied Nudity - $75-150 per hour

Topless/Partial Nudity - $200+ per hour

Fully Nude - I only do fully nude work for Suicide Girls

The above rates can be mixed and combined in one shoot. For example, if you want to do one hour of studio work, one hour of lingerie, and one hour of implied nudity you would pay the separate rates for each. So your total, in that case, would be about $250-300 for the entire shoot.

I do VERY limited TFP. Please contact me if you have an extremely enticing proposition only.
